Doing Stuff Outdoors-101

We have two stories on the show today. We'll meet up with a group of kids in the outdoors as they release butterflies they raised from caterpillars. Our feature interview is with Carl Schwab, one of the creators of the Great Minnesota Race. It's an Urban Scavenger Hunt across the metro area of Minneapolis & St. Paul, Minnesota on Saturday, August 29th. Think of it as an adventure race for beginners where you are racing around the city vs. the countryside. It's a little like the Amazing Race, but scaled down to one or two cities and for a few hours instead of a week. Urban Scavenger Hunts are geared more toward the casual outdoor enthusiast though anyone with a sense of adventure will find them enjoyable.
